The semantic layer is essential, and it must be vendor-neutral and seamlessly integrate with your existing tech stack. Data modeling may be everything, broken or completely transformed by AI — perhaps all of these are true.

In this session, Pedram Navid, Head of DevRel + Marketing at Dagster Labs, and Colin Zima, CEO at Omni, will have a candid discussion about the state of the semantic layer — diving into what we should keep, what we should throw out, and what we should bet on for the future of data modeling.
